The Farm
Old Federal Road Farm is a family-owned farm that prides itself in offering the finest tradition of hunting whitetail deer and turkey in southwest Georgia. The hunts are timeless, classic, and authentic; guided and managed to ensure a quality hunting experience. The farm consists of 2,400 acres in Taylor County that is blessed with great wildlife habitat. Timm’ s Creek runs through the middle of the property, and the farm is scattered with mature hardwood bottoms, planted pines, food plots, and agricultural fields interwoven with rolling pastureland. The farm has been intensively managed for the past 15 years and enjoyed by friends and family since the 1780's.
About the Hunt
To protect Old Federal Road Farm from being over hunted, we limit our groups to six or less at one time. Our typical customers are small groups of hunters looking for an affordable hunting experience with a good opportunity of harvesting a trophy animal. We will typically book the dates for groups of 4 or more so you will have the property to yourself. Check-in is at noon on day of arrival and check-out is at noon on day of departure. When you arrive, you will be given time to get your gear situated in the lodge and to sight in your gun or bow if necessary. Your hunts will begin the afternoon of your arrival and your last hunt will be the morning of your departure. Before the first hunt, all hunters will attend the rules meeting and sign a release form.
Safety Rules
For our safety and yours, all firearms will be unloaded (chamber and magazine) when stored in the lodge, gun racks, and when being transported to and from the hunting areas. Hunter orange will be worn at all times while out in the field during the gun season. Consumption of alcohol is permitted in the evening, after the hunt is over and you have returned to the lodge. Consumption during the day is permitted ONLY if you are through hunting for the day. Failure to follow these rules could result in forfeiting the remaining days of your hunt along with the deposit.
